 Front-End Developer

Studio Pax is seeking a part-time Junior Developer / Intern to join our creative and nimble team. You’ll work closely with a Senior Tech Lead as well as other members of design and dev teams on a variety of projects. You’ll get to use your problem-solving skills to deliver results to our clients and you will gain experience with multiple software platforms including content management systems, digital marketing software and customer data platforms.

Build your professional experience at a boutique design agency

Our clients

Our client range from Business to Business websites to nonprofit  marketing websites. We created digital and branding campaign for NU The Garage, IIN, Hilco Global, and the Field Museum among others. Depending on your creative ability to extend our core theme, you will be able to pitch your concepts to our studio and create your assignments.

What you’ll do

  • CMS content entry
     – Reduced Pax dev effort on low-complexity work, faster delivery time for client
    – Introduces interns to CMS platform CP to make the connection between frontend presentation and backend data, content manager UX
    – Craft, Webflow, Perspectives, Overlays, NR forms build/QA
  • Email marketing
    – Increases Pax’s ability to respond to other tasks (email can be very time consuming)
    – Helps intern build HTML/HTML email development skills, introduces intern to email marketing platforms
  • Bug fixes
    – Reduced Pax dev effort on low-complexity work, allows Pax to deliver on time, close projects rather than having a trickle of on-going work
    – Helps intern learn how to evaluate tasks and use problem solving skills to resolve them
  • Can work with third-party applications to create
    – Overlays
    – NR forms build/QA
    – QR codes
  • Cross-platform Testing using Browserstack or similar technology
  • You will be able to come and work at our Evanston Studio 8-16 hours a week in 1 or 2 days depending on your schedule.
  • You have your own laptop
